Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman expressed support for the Iranian people in what she described as “U.S.-Israeli aggression,” while strongly condemning what she called the Houthis’ involvement of Yemen in the conflict.

In a post on her Facebook account, Karman said the Houthis’ engagement in the war “does not serve Yemen or its causes,” adding that it reflects the group’s use as a tool to advance external agendas at the expense of Yemen’s security, stability, and future.

She stressed the need to keep Yemen neutral in regional conflicts, warning that the country should not become an arena for settling scores, nor should Yemenis bear the cost of wars that do not concern them.

Karman called for an end to what she described as dragging Yemen into battles that only serve forces destabilizing the region, emphasizing that protecting the country requires avoiding such conflicts and preserving its stability.
